Lessons Live in Everything
The day before my book photoshoot, I stopped by TJ Maxx and Trader Joes to buy a vase and some flowers. Though I buy fresh flowers most weeks, putting this arrangement together felt different.
The process was a gentle reminder that, when we do our part (sometimes our part is simply to be still), all things come together in time. Each component of our lives, from the challenges to the highlights — when fully embraced, creates a picture of completion.
We don’t have to cut away from our mistakes or remove our scars to create something whole. Each piece plays a part in our journey of growth.
I have learned, our personal evolution is not the result of perfect leaps; it’s the result of courageous little steps.
