Living With Ease Is Possible

A few weeks ago, I said to my therapist; I didn’t know life could be so simple. I didn’t know I could experience this life with so much ease and peace.

I spent much of my 20s in search of what I have now. So much so, at first, I didn’t recognize when I “made it” because I was so used to dreaming it. But, I also learned that making it isn’t a destination; it’s an inner experience. An inner-knowing that radiates from your core. To be centered in truth and aware of what matters most is a gift we often forsake for the world’s glitter.

But I have discovered the beauty of choosing gold, even though it requires more work — inner work, that is.

The inner work has led me to an inner and outer space in time where I love this simple yet adventurous life of mine. The one where I get to jump on planes and attend retreats, write for a living, create my own schedule, and go to one-on-one Pilates sessions on a Tuesday afternoon. I get to give abundantly and wake up when the sun shines on my face each morning.

I want for nothing, and I know it has a lot to do with God’s grace and the fact that I truly believed in what I wanted.

Thank you, Lord, for carrying me through the seasons I settled in fear. And though there are many seasons to come where my faith will be tested, I believe you will continue to carry me through.

#Memo: What you desire out of life is within your reach, even if you have to stretch further to claim it. It’s there, waiting for you somewhere along your path. So keep walking, keep believing, enjoy the process, and always be you with courage along the way.
